Cameras for places that have no power, no network and no permanence
Fixed surveillance assumes a building: mains power, a network drop, a ceiling to mount to and a reason to still be there in five years. A great many sites have none of that. A construction site moves every few weeks. A laydown yard has no service. An events parking lot needs coverage for four days. A problem corner of a site needs watching for a month while something is dealt with.
That is what mobile and deployable surveillance is for, and it is where our name comes from. Solar or battery power, cellular backhaul, and a unit that can be placed, moved and taken away again without a cabling project.
What a deployable unit has to solve
Power
Solar with battery reserve for unattended sites, or a hardwired feed where one exists. The sizing question is how many days of cloud cover it has to survive, and Carolina winters are the case that catches people out.
Connectivity
Cellular, because there is no network to join. Signal strength at the actual location decides whether you get live view or overnight upload — we check it on site rather than assuming coverage from a map.
What you want to know
Continuous recording, motion alerts, people and vehicle detection, or plate capture at an entrance are different builds. Alerting on everything means alerting on nothing.
Who watches it
Recorded-only for evidence after the fact, or monitored with live operator verification so somebody responds while it is happening. On theft-prone sites the second one is the only version that prevents loss.
Redeployment
The unit will move. Mounting, ballast, anchoring and how quickly it can be relocated matter more than they do on a permanent install.
Getting the footage out
Retention, export and a clip you can hand to police. Evidence you cannot retrieve is not evidence.
Where these get used
Construction — copper, tools, fuel and appliances, on a site whose perimeter changes monthly and where permanent power arrives late. Yards and laydown areas — plant, trailers and materials parked somewhere with no service. Parking and events — temporary coverage with a defined start and end date. Problem locations — a dumpster area, a rear alley or a specific corner where something is repeatedly happening and a permanent camera cannot be justified yet. Municipal and public safety — short-term deployments where the requirement is documented and time-boxed.

Rent or buy
A contractor who moves between projects usually buys, because the unit follows the work and pays for itself across jobs. A one-off requirement with a known end date is usually better rented. We will price both rather than steering you to whichever suits us.
